Dry clean waste management Activities of the dry clean industry produce hazardous waste from the distiller of the dry cleaning machines, which ought to be managed according to legislation JMD EP11641/1942 and JMD EP 13588/725. The further sustainable management of this waste type is mandatory obligation for the licensing of new stores as well as for the operation of the existing ones.
In 2006, POLYECO S.A. began the dry clean waste collection, by organizing a panhellenic network which includes a number of franchisee as well as private dry cleaners who operate with safety and respect to the environment.
POLYECO provides the specified packaging to the cooperative professionals and with expertise personnel performs delivery and receipt of these packaging from each dry clean store. Additionaly, POLYECO provides consultative support and advising to each professional in order to manage waste in an environmental friendly way.
Following receipt of waste, a Certificate of Waste Reception is issued from POLYECO and handed over to each dry clean store.
