ProfilePOLYECO SA was found in 2001 by Ioannis Polychronopoulos family, aiming to offer integrated services in the waste management and valorization sector. Up to present it is the first and only Greek industry offering integrated waste administration and valorization solutions.
POLYECO SA is specialized as follows:
1. Integrated solutions for planning, valorization and environmentally secure final waste disposal.
2. Valorization of dangerous and non dangerous industrial waste including packing materials by their transformation to:
• Secondary Fuel
• Raw material for other activities
• Tradable by-products
3. Forwarding of waste not being able to be absorbed in Greece, due to their nature, to authorised foreign houses for a final disposal.
POLYECO SA may offer integrated services to any industry for a stable, financially viable and environmental friendly solution of its problem. The offered service is completed upon the issue of a competent legal certification for a legal administration of waste, to be duly used before any Local, National and Community Authorities. The total investment was carried out based on a state of the art technology, according to the context of the directive 96/61/EU on an Integrated Prevention and Pollution Control (IPPC), contributing to integrated waste administration and valorization services by complying with the strictest environmental specifications.
The main concern of the company corresponds to the application of a state of the art technology and the maintenance of a continuous distribution of knowledge and know-how, also in the future. The operation of a modern laboratory, able to analyze any type of collected raw material and product as per 50 parameters, within 2hour time, is an indicative point of high level requirements and specifications of segregation, classification and exploitation of the collected materials, applied by the unit.
The type of investment carried out forms a standard model of industrial cohabitation and sustainable development in our country; due to the fact that all offered services cover the total range of produced waste. Any industrial waste, which up to present is either illegally disposed or provisionally stored, is transformed to secondary fuel in POLYECO SA. This secondary fuel may replace imported fuel under competitive prices for the industry sector. Furthermore, secure transport abroad and destruction of any waste that cannot be transformed to secondary fuel can be guaranteed, and hence solving the problem referring to industrial waste disposal. Any liquid waste resulting from collected raw material is subject to a complete and effective process. |
