Waste management from car garages/ car body paint shops

During the car maintenance and repair works, the garages as well as the car body repair shops produce organic waste harmful for the environment such as engine oil filters, break liquids, liquids from car body paint shops, antifreeze liquids. The owners or the producers of such types of waste according to the legislation for the management of hazardous waste JMD EP 13588/ 725, are obliged to take care for their environmental friendly and according to law final disposal.  

In 2005, POLYECO S.A. organized a pilot system for the management and final disposal of non-recyclable hazardous waste from the garages and car body paint shops. The system, which already includes over 150 garages and shops all over Greece, embodies the collection, transportation, treatment or disposal of these types of waste. 

POLYECO S.A. provides the specified packaging to the cooperative garages, ensuring the safe and environmentally rational storage. Following, the expertise personnel of POLYECO performs delivery and receipt of these packaging from each garage and also provides consultative support and advising.
